A PLACE TO DISCOVER, LEARN, GROW...

About St. Clare Nursery School

St. Clare Nursery School is a non-profit, non-discriminating Christian Cooperative early childhood program. Our teachers are well-educated, experienced, dedicated and caring individuals. We provide a safe, nurturing and loving environment for three and four year olds where teachers and parents work together to offer a quality educational program. Parent participation is required and essential to our nursery school.

Parents who enroll their children in St. Clare Nursery School want to be involved in their child’s education. They believe in supporting the teachers and adding to the quality of their children’s first learning experience. Helping children discover, learn, and grow is what St. Clare Nursery School is all about.

The program is licensed by the State of Michigan Department of Human Services. We have been affiliated with St. Clare of Montefalco Catholic School since 1990.

Mission Statement

The Mission of St. Clare Cooperative Nursery School is to provide a developmental early childhood program where teachers, parents, and children work, play, learn, grow, and discover together. We strive to educate the whole child. Our safe, nurturing, and loving learning environment encourages the social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and language growth of each child at their own pace.

Why St. Clare Nursery?

St. Clare Cooperative Nursery School separates itself from the rest for many key reasons, including:

  • Experienced and Degreed teachers
  • A gradual start to the school year to enable children to happily adjust to the new school day
  • An emphasis on parent networking and the meeting of new friends
  • Service to the community / charity
  • Interest-focused learning
  • "Special Events" (field trips, fun nights, child shows, etc.) to allow parents to further share in their child’s fun & learning
  • Very Special Person Night - an event that culminates the long-term project work based on a topic of children's interest.
  • Baby Jesus Birthday Party - a family celebration of songs combined with our yearly service project.
  • 3’s Mother’s Tea - Be prepared to be showered with love from your children. A "homemade" memorable day for all.
  • 4’s Celebration / Slideshow - An emotional event! This is the signature event of why alumni come back year after year.
