Our Program

For the 2011- 2012 school year there is one multi-age morning program at St. Clare Nursery School. There is a 1 to 4 adult to child ratio, including two teachers and two parents in each class period.

Parents start each day by escorting their children into the classroom. The children greet their teachers, hang up their coats and "special St. Clare bag", and then are off to play with their friends. At the end of each day, parents follow the car pick-up procedure to receive their children. Teachers often use this time to share feedback from the day.

The children can explore two large classrooms as part of daily activity. Both classrooms are center-based with one room hosting academic and sensory centers, while the second room focuses on enhancing gross motor and dramatic play skills.

Age Three:

Slow Transition Month (September 2011)

* Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 9:15 am - 11:30 am

** Beginning October 4th and continuing through the school year, dismissal will be at 12pm

Age Four:

* Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 9:15 am - 12:15 pm

** In preparation for Kindergarten, St. Clare will be offering a Lunch Buddy Program on an every-other Wednesday basis for

Fall Semester and every Wednesday during the Spring Semester.

Fall Semester: September – end of December

Spring Semester: January – end of May

Our calendar is in accordance with both the St. Clare School Calendar and the Grosse Pointe Public School’s calendar.

$150.00 non-refundable application fee

$25 discount off enrollment fee if registered by Valentine's Day
